Town Clerk Report – June 2009

Good Evening:

I attended my first 2010 Census meeting. The July meeting Ms.Terry Seabrook will be here to go over the 2010 Census program. I will be filling out a census grant that is due on June 19; this grant will help organize the census program for our community. I attended a business license class which I finished my 18 hours of study. I graduated right after the class. I will be taken the exam in the near future. Business licenses are now past due. Starting June 17 citations will be issued and every day after that until the licenses are paid. I received the free prescription discount card. This card is for anyone who doesn’t have health insurance. You can receive 20% off on prescription drugs. You can pick up your card at Town Hall. The Mayor and I meet with the Highway department concerning the ditches in the town. We are waiting to hear back from an attorney.
