Court Clerk Reports – April 6, 2009
Walk-ins and phone calls were average last month.
The Chief, Town Clerk, and myself have discussed put our best efforts forward in trying to receive grants to make the town better. They both have agreed to help me understand the grant process and assist me if I need help on a grant. I have started searching for grants or government monies to help improve our judicial system.
I sent out nearly 100 letters backing form my first day of work here at Cottageville, in hopes to collect money owed from mandatory minimum fines that need to be sent to the state. These fines arise when people are incarcerated, serve time for their offense and never pay the minimum mandatory fines implemented by the state.
