TOWN CLERK REPORT - November, 2008

  1. I attended GFOASC (Gov. Finance Conference). I learned many things when it came to budget and finance. Also found out that the state will be cutting more of our funds, which is Aid to Subdivision. In August of this year they cut us 3% and in Jan. 09 they are going to cut more which will be 10% to 11% of our funds, this will be lower than we made last year from the Aid of Subdivision.
  2. I sent out set-off-debts letters. These are letters that we have from previous year on unpaid traffic tickets.
  3. Prepared forms for the Christmas parade and mail out around 30 forms for the parade. If anyone needs a form they may come by and pick up the form from us or go on to the web page.
  4. SCE&G will be here on December 2 to put the Christmas lights up.
  5. I helped our building inspectors which is England Enterprises with our ISO inspection, should hear something back within a month or so how the inspection went.
