Revitalization Meeting Minutes – October 20, 2008
Minutes of the 10/20/2008 Revitalization Meeting

Meeting was opened in prayer by Peggy Thomas.
Sissy Davis presented her idea for Halloween night (October 31st). Churches will set up booths in the vacant lot beside the car lot. Also, MADD, EMS, the fire department, and the agency that checks car seats will be invited to set up booths. Churches will give out tracks and candy. There has been no word from Trinity and St. John.
Next, we discussed the upcoming Christmas Parade
The parade will begin at 3pm on December 13. Some activities to be pursued will be: Bethlehem choir singing,
choirs from the Methodist and Baptist churches,
the elementary school chorus,
and Charlie Cook’s church
Artisans can sign up for tables with no charge
Pictures with Santa will be available for $5.00.
Debbie McMillian will call the Shriners.
Evan Robinson will be invited. He brings his own float.
National Guard band,
Maybe Elvis.
Andy Sadiropolus (sp) to sing
Band from Charleston (played last year)
Patsy will call and set up a list.
Terry Crosby will send out the applications for the parade.
Judges from last year, Travis and Linda, will be asked again. Another person will be added to the panel. Grand Marshall(s) this year may be WWII veterans. Karen Minis will be contacted about getting veterans from Victory House and town. Other politicians will be contacted.
After the parade, cookies and light refreshments, provided by the Revitalization Committee, will be served during the picture taking with Santa.
We will need to feed the National Guard band and the visiting band from Charleston. May possible set up a deal with the Methodist Church.
Advertising will be done in the school newspaper and the Cottageville newsletter.
We will no longer sponsor the Taste of Cottageville or the Camilla Show.
The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 13 at 7:00 at Town Hall.
January, we will discuss Cottageville Idol.
