The Cottageville Police Department announces the hiring of three police officers. Stephanie Lynes, John Craddock and Steven Smith were sworn in by Mayor George White on October 20, 2008. This swearing in requires the officers to be vigilant against crime, protect and serve the citizens and to uphold the Constitution of the United States. These officers bring over 30 years of law enforcement to the department. Chief Shane Roberts reviewed many applicants and selected these individuals based on their years of experience, character and training. “The hiring of these officers brings professionalism and efficiency to the department.” states Chief Shane Roberts. The hiring of these officers brings the total number of paid officers to six.
