October 6, 2008

We have had the average amount of walk-ins and phone calls.

We also had an unexpected amount of citizens walking in inquiring about voter registration.

I attended the Municipal Court Administration Association of South Carolina’s Annual Meeting on September 17-19.  We received training on identity theft, finances, trusting our public, NCIC, electronic dispositions, expungments, safety and security, record retention, and traffic citations.  We also had a legal update by Tiffany Raines, the Staff Attorney for SC Court Administration.  While attending the annual meeting we received the first S.C. Municipal Court Handbook.

Our officers are doing a wonderful job presenting evidence at preliminary hearings.  Our cases are getting bound over to grand jury so they are doing a great job.
