Mayor’s Report – September 2008

This is the Mayor’s Meeting Report for September 2008

  1.  The paperwork has been filed for the water referendum in November.
  2. We have a new Chief of Police who, if you have not meet him his name is Shane Roberts. Shane comes to us from the State of Transport Police. He has already made some positive changes for the town.
  3. I am looking at dates for the Public Hearing for water and sewer. That will be announced at the Oct. 6 town meeting.
  4. Christmas Parade, I have been questioned about it several times, so there is a lot of interest concerning the event. We will give you the date at the Oct. meeting. 
  5. I have serveral meetings planned to get additional information on water and sewer.Also concerning ground water sampling. The firm I was hoping to get a bid from is too busy at this time. We are trying to get several bids from local contractors, so we can get this sampling completed.
